Hi, I’m Jane!
San Marino is a special place.
As a Southern California native, I grew up hearing about the amazing San Marino schools. So, when it came time for my husband and I to return to California with our twins, moving to San Marino became a priority. We have now been raising our family here for over a decade, and have learned firsthand why San Marino schools are a point of pride in our tight-knit community. San Marino is built on relationships, and our schools are no different. We’ve seen time and again as the entire community comes together to support our schools. We are dedicated to serving our children, and I am committed to continue in that endeavor. Today’s children are the changemakers and worldbuilders of tomorrow.
My commitment to San Marino schools stems from the experiences of my four children.
Twins John (Thomas) and Jacob graduated from San Marino High School this year and are currently first-year college students. Faced with the challenges of the pandemic, the boys have been thrust into a new normal in ways never anticipated, and I am grateful that SMHS prepared them to adapt and thrive. Thomas is onsite at Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York, studying Biomedical Engineering, while Jacob is at home in San Marino taking online classes with American University, majoring in Political Science.
In her third and final year at Huntington Middle School, Jodie is learning how to adapt in the distance-learning environment while maintaining her commitment to competitive USAG gymnastics. As she navigates the demands of online learning, I am in awe of our teachers’ dedication. The amount of work they put into creating a new virtual curriculum is evident, and to be commended.
